Hart R. Spencer

Hart’s legal practice is primarily focused on family law, criminal law, and Child and Family Service Authority work. Hart grew up in Oxbow, Saskatchewan where he excelled academically and athletically. He won provincial championships in volleyball, golf, hockey, and speed swimming. He also won a number of awards for public speaking.

He spent much of his time in the summers playing on the Saskatchewan Provincial Volleyball team. After graduating from high school Hart attended the University of Regina on a scholar-athlete scholarship to play volleyball. He played volleyball for the University of Regina Cougars from 2001-2004 and was named the player of year for both the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 seasons. He still holds a number of match and season records for the Cougars.

He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in the spring of 2006 with a major in Economics. He then took some time away of from school and worked in the oil and gas industry near his home in Southeast, SK. In the fall of 2007 he attended law school at the University of Saskatchewan and completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2010.
Hart was hired as a student-at-law by Grey Wowk Spencer LLP in June, 2010 and articled under the senior partner at the firm Leighton Grey, Q.C.. Hart received his call to the Alberta Bar in August, 2011.
