A Class Action has been filed for aII Metis persons or persons of mixed Aboriginal ancestry who are or were deemed ineligible for status under the Indian Act, RSC 1985, c 1-5, or its predecessor legislation, due to their ancestors’ alleged acceptance of Metis Scrip from the Government of Canada between 1867 and 1950.
